Hey everyone, I've been researching the Jake Mills case from 1986, and I can't stop thinking about the possibility that his murderer might have been someone he knew and trusted. It's chilling to think that Jake might have willingly let this person into his home, maybe for a cup of coffee or a chat, never suspecting the danger. The idea that the killer might have had a personal connection to Jake adds such a complex layer to the tragedy. It's one thing to consider a random act of violence, but it's another to think about betrayal by someone close. I feel so deeply for Jake's friends and family, knowing they might have had to consider whether someone in their circle was responsible. Has anyone else come across any information or theories about other potential suspects in the case? Or maybe something linking these cases more conclusively to Nathaniel Code? I just hope that one day we'll see some sort of closure for Jake's loved ones.
