I’ve been following the story of the tragic events in Norwood, and something that’s been sticking with me is Sheri’s experience returning to her childhood home that day. I cannot imagine the overwhelming fear and sorrow she must have felt encountering the aftermath of such violence—seeing her home torn apart and then finding her parents in that state. While we often focus on the criminals and their ultimate fates, it's important not to forget the survivors who must carry an incredible burden after such trauma. How Sheri managed to cope and go on with her life is a testament to human resilience. My heart truly goes out to her and the entire Walters family in this painful chapter of their lives. I'd love to hear thoughts on how communities come together to support people in their shoes, and what more might be done to help survivor families through such dark times.
