Does anyone else find it puzzling how Adolphus Christopher Morris, the suspect in this tragic case, was able to carry out such a heinous act without alerting anyone beforehand? I mean, we're talking about a small, tight-knit community where everyone seems to know each other. With the way folks usually look out for one another in places like Sardis, I would have thought someone might have noticed something was off. While reading through what happened, I can't help but imagine the sheer shock and confusion that must be consuming the families involved. Betty Fort and the others certainly didn't deserve this tragic end. How does a community even begin to process or piece things together when there's no trial or opportunity for justice in a traditional sense? My heart goes out to anyone struggling with unanswered questions right now. They all need our collective support.
