I just keep thinking about those poor kids who were there during the shooting in North Arlington. I mean, they’re so young and to witness something so horrific must be truly traumatic. Brian was just trying to do a routine child custody exchange—a situation meant to ensure his kids remained connected to both parents. It’s terrifying how something meant to secure the well-being of children turned so deadly because of heated emotions and violent actions. What worries me most is the long-term impact on the children. Witnessing their father and cousin being shot is something that could deeply affect them for years to come. I hope the family can find some mental health support for them. Trauma like this shouldn’t be carried alone, especially by little ones. No one should have to see a loved one murdered, let alone at such a young age. Hoping for justice and peace for Brian and Ezequiel’s families. This whole situation is just beyond tragic and leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone involved.
