Incredible sadness over the loss of two lives in such a violent manner. While I was reading about the events on Ocean Crest Boulevard, I couldn't help but think about the impact on Selena Ponce's coworkers at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. Can you imagine the shock and sorrow her colleagues must be feeling? Nurses often form such close bonds with each other due to the demanding nature of their work. Knowing one of their own won't be there to share stories or support one another on a tough day is a heavy burden to bear. It makes you wonder how much else Selena brought to her team, both professionally and personally. It's so difficult to grapple with the reality of life being lost in an instant, especially when it's one that's so dedicated to helping others. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
