I’ve been following this case closely, and what really stands out to me is the absence of any mention of support systems for the toddler left behind. It’s truly devastating for a child to lose their parents under such violent circumstances. I hope there are relatives or community services stepping up to provide not just immediate care, but also long-term emotional support for this little one. I can't imagine the complex feelings she might have as she grows up and learns what happened. My heart goes out to Alberto and Karen’s entire family – they’ve lost so much. How does a family even begin to heal from something so horrendous? I sincerely hope they’re finding the strength they need and that the community is rallying around them during this unimaginable time.
