I've been following DeQuaviyan Whatley's tragic case, and my heart goes out to his family, especially his mother, Xzquee. One thing that puzzles me is the sheer number of gunshots reported - over 50 rounds fired and 17 shell casings found. It makes me wonder if this argument was really about something random or if there was something more complex going on. Did anyone notice unusual activity in the neighborhood leading up to this incident? Or maybe someone saw a vehicle or a group of people leaving the scene? I wish there was more clarity on how it escalated so drastically. It’s just so devastating that such violence unfolded in a community where people should feel safe.
