Hi everyone, I've been diving into old case files from the Tampa Bay area in the late 70s, and Molly Kay Newell's story really struck me. One angle that's been bugging me is the 12-day gap between her arrest for offering to commit prostitution and when she was found murdered. It makes me wonder if there's something critical in those days that we’re missing, something that could tie everything together. What I've gathered is that Molly was last seen around the Dale Mabry Strip, a place infamous back then for its nightlife and risky environment. Was she just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or could she have known something that made her a target? It's just so haunting that there were no clear leads, even though the task force was actively investigating similar cases in the area. Wild theories always make the rounds, but considering the circumstances, could Molly's murder have been a message or warning within that world? I can't imagine how hard it must be for Molly’s family not to have closure all these years. It's a stark reminder of how not all cold cases get the attention they deserve, and how the victims' families suffer in silence over the injustices that remain unresolved. Would love to hear any thoughts or theories you might have!
