Hey everyone, I’ve been reading a lot about the tragic case of Donald Harvey, and one detail that's really been haunting me is how he managed to get away with poisoning patients like Stella Lemon for so long. It's chilling to think about how he seamlessly blended these killings into the natural progression of illness in a hospital setting. Stella Lemon’s case particularly struck me. This poor woman thought she was just receiving care, and all the while, there was a sinister element at play. The fact that cyanide was reportedly put in something as mundane as orange juice is terrifying. I can’t even imagine the betrayal of trust the families must feel. These patients were in a place where they should have been safe, and instead became victims to someone who was supposed to be helping them. It makes me wonder how hospital staff could have been more vigilant. But then again, such poisonings don't present obvious symptoms right away, especially under the guise of existing ailments. It's clear that Donald Harvey exploited this to hide in plain sight. My thoughts are with the families of all the victims, including Stella Lemon’s. It's a reminder to us all of the unfortunate reality that not all may be as it appears, even in places of healing.
