Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Valentina Pasion lately and the passion she had for her nursing career. It’s just devastating to think of all the potential and kindness the world lost when she and the other nurses were taken so brutally. From what I've read, Valentina was an amazing cook and loved sharing meals with her friends. It makes me think about how those shared dinners must have been a little slice of home for her in a foreign country, and an opportunity for her to bond with her housemates. It’s hard to wrap my mind around how someone so full of life and promise had their future snatched away by someone so cruel. The impact on her family back in the Philippines must have been unimaginable, especially since she was so dedicated to helping and providing for them. If anyone has any more information about how she was remembered by her peers or how her community has kept her memory alive, I’d love to hear it. It’s important that we continue to honor the lives of these victims and not let their stories fade away.
