I've been thinking a lot about the location where this terrible act took place. The intersection of 5th and Westmoreland is usually a quiet spot, even in North Philadelphia, so it's hard to believe it turned into a crime scene like this. From what I've gathered, the area is mostly residential with some small businesses nearby, but I heard there was a lounge having a grand opening that night. It makes me wonder if the celebration somehow drew unwanted attention or if it was possibly coincidental, just wrong place, wrong time for these young men. The fact that two others were injured makes me think there might be more witnesses out there who haven’t yet stepped forward. Hopefully, as more details emerge, someone will provide the Homicide Unit with the leads they need to bring justice for Kenay and Jayden's families. It's devastating to lose young lives in such a violent manner, and my heart goes out to their loved ones who are dealing with this unimaginable loss. I wish there were more we could do as a community to support them and urge any witnesses to come forward. Any small detail could be crucial to finally bringing some answers to this tragedy.
