I can't stop thinking about Sharde's vigil and the incredible strength her family showed during such an unimaginably difficult time. When those green and white balloons floated up to the sky, it hit me how real and raw their pain is, and how important it is to honor Sharde's memory by keeping these crucial conversations going. Domestic violence is an issue that often hides in the shadows, but seeing her parents speak out so bravely about it gives me hope that change can happen. They’re turning their grief into a powerful message that needs to be heard. It's devastating that such an action has to come from a loss like this. Let’s keep Sharde’s spirit alive by supporting her family and raising awareness about these warning signs. We owe it to her and so many others out there. Stay strong, everyone.
