I've been following the case of Oscar Ruiz Mejia Jr., and it's truly devastating to see how quickly life can be taken away. Something that's puzzled me from the start is the role that argument played in this tragedy. What could have been so severe that it led to such a violent outcome? I'm hoping more details will emerge during the trial to shed light on what actually happened that night. My heart goes out to Oscar's family and friends; I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through. It's hard not to wonder if anyone tried to de-escalate the situation or if there were any signs earlier that things were getting out of hand. Keeping all of Oscar's loved ones in my thoughts as they seek justice and try to find some semblance of peace.
