I recently came across the tragic case of Daliah Husu from Oakwood, Georgia, and it truly shook me to my core. It's heartbreaking to think about how quickly a domestic disagreement can spiral into something so horrific. I've been involved in community outreach for a while, and this case has highlighted the importance of addressing domestic violence before it reaches such a tragic conclusion. One thing that's been on my mind is the silence around domestic struggles. I've read that Daliah was always seen as vibrant and full of life by her friends and family, and I wonder if she, like many others, was battling much more than she let on. It's just so important for us to create spaces where people feel safe to share their struggles and seek help.
