I've been following the discussions here and wanted to share my thoughts on the role of community centers in keeping our kids safe. It's gut-wrenching to think a place meant for gathering and recreation could become a crime scene. I’m wondering if this tragedy at Langley Park Community Center might lead to any changes in security measures at similar places? We often see these areas as safe havens, but maybe there's more that can be done to prevent such senseless loss. Angel Guzman was just 16, at an age where the most he should worry about is school or having fun with friends. I cannot imagine what his family is going through right now — just two years here in the U.S., trying to build a life together, and this happens. I really hope that local authorities take a good look at how to better protect our community centers. Sending strength and prayers to Angel's family and friends during this unimaginable time.
