I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragedy that took the lives of Erica Weathersby, her sister Keyana, and little Camari. As if losing them wasn't devastating enough, I can't help but think about how this case exposes vulnerabilities in the criminal justice system. From what I understand, Cornelius Carter was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the murders. How is it possible for someone under such close supervision to get involved in something so horrific? It just boggles my mind. I feel for the Weathersby family—it must be overwhelming dealing with their immense grief while trying to find some sort of justice for their loved ones. It makes me question the efficacy of monitoring measures and what more could be done to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the legal system's role here? Thinking of Erica, Keyana, and Camari and hoping for strength for their family during this unimaginably difficult time.
