Was reading up on the Walter Johnson case and something just struck me about the timing of Glenwood Franklin Johnson's arrest. It seems like there was quite a bit of deliberation and investigation before they made the arrest on February 29, 2015, almost three weeks after the crime occurred. This makes me wonder what kind of evidence they needed to gather before they felt they had enough to charge him. It's quite a methodical approach, which is reassuring in terms of thorough police work, but it must have been such a tough period for Walter’s loved ones, waiting for answers and justice during those weeks of uncertainty.
I also find it so puzzling that this wasn't a random attack. What was the connection between the two men? It seems there was a deliberate motive behind such a tragic action. I can't imagine the pain that Walter’s family and friends must have endured not only because of the loss itself but also having to wrap their heads around the circumstances surrounding it. From everything I’ve read, Walter seemed like a well-loved person, so this must have deeply affected everyone who knew him. Hoping they’ve found some peace and justice now, though it can never replace what they have lost.
