I've been digging into some of the cold cases in Houston and came across Gilbert Smith's disappearance from 1997. One thing that struck me was the timing of his last known contact—specifically, the phone call to his mother. It's interesting how this detail often gets overlooked in discussions about these cases. I can't help but wonder if there's more to that conversation than we know. Did he mention meeting someone or perhaps express any concerns? Communications like these can sometimes hold hidden clues. If anyone has insights or theories, especially those familiar with phone records from that time, it might be worth revisiting this angle.
