I can't stop thinking about the impact this case has had on the community's sense of safety. It's frightening to consider that such a tragedy unfolded in what seemed like such a safe area. Many of us are now re-evaluating how we perceive safety for our own families. The fact that the suspect was known to McKinley makes it feel even more jarring and reminds us how vigilant we need to be, even when it comes to people we think we can trust. The entire situation serves as a stark reminder that we're all vulnerable, and it's heart-wrenching to consider what McKinley must have endured. My heart aches for her family and friends who are left grappling with this unimaginable loss. It's been a real wake-up call for everyone in the area, resulting in increased community engagement and discussions about how to move forward together while cherishing the memories of those taken from us too soon.
