I've been following Julian Michael Sam's case and something that has always stuck with me is how he was classed as an endangered runaway. I get that maybe at first glance, a teenager not contacting home when he often stays with friends might point in that direction. But with time passing and not a single trace of him or his money, it feels like this might need a closer look. It's like one of those situations where the label might have stuck too early and could have impacted how things were initially investigated. Does anyone else feel like the case deserves a revisited classification or perhaps another review of the initial assumptions? With no signs of him or his cash, it's unsettling to think that classifying him as a runaway might've led to missed opportunities in those crucial early days. Thoughts?
