Has anyone else read about the tragic case of Tiana and Jaliyah Watts? The whole situation is beyond devastating, and my heart goes out to the family and those who loved these little ones. Something that's been on my mind is how overlooked domestic violence issues can sometimes be until it's too late. Given that Bryant Watts had a history of domestic violence, it's tragic that early intervention might have changed the course of events. The system is supposed to help protect people in these situations, but it doesn't always work that way. It makes you think about whether there might have been red flags missed along the way or if there could be more support for victims at earlier stages. As a community, it's important that we continue to push for better resources and responses to domestic violence so no one else has to face such horrific circumstances. We'll never know what could have changed the outcome, but I hope this tragedy can at least bring awareness and drive the necessary changes to prevent future loss.
