Wow, this case is just tragic and maddening at the same time. I can't help but reflect on how Mr. Erebia's death might have been preventable if the justice system had been more vigilant. How many times do we see situations where someone with a long rap sheet like Hogan is out and about, only for things to go terribly wrong? It's absolutely devastating for the community and, most importantly, for the Erebia family. I’m also puzzled by the issue of deferred adjudication being granted to someone with Hogan’s history. It begs the question, are we doing enough to ensure public safety? And let's not forget, Louis Erebia's heroic actions were driven by love and a desire to protect his family—something any of us could relate to. My heart goes out to his loved ones, who have lost such an incredible figure. What's everyone's take on the justice system's role in situations like this, especially concerning repeat offenders? I feel like there's so much more to discuss and explore within this case.
