I’ve been thinking about the surveillance situation around the area where Jafre was sadly gunned down. Given the bustling nature of NYCHA complexes and the busy streets, there’s usually no shortage of cameras in these places. It’s tough not to wonder what they captured, if anything at all. Could those cameras provide leads on the four individuals on scooters? Or maybe provide some sense of what Jafre’s last moments were like? Those video clips might be crucial in piecing together what really happened that night. I just hope the authorities are able to utilize any footage they can find to bring justice to Jafre and provide some solace to his family, who are undoubtedly facing an unimaginable loss right now. It's a stark reminder of how vital a role technology can play in solving such tragic cases. Keeping everyone affected by this senseless act in my thoughts.
