I've been following the case of Corleone Thomas closely, and I have to say, the legal complexities around this are so frustrating. I understand that prosecutors said they couldn't disclose reasons for not charging the detained man, but that really leaves the public unclear about justice being served for Corleone and his family. I can't even imagine how hard it must be for them to have no real closure as of now. I feel especially for his children, who have lost their father in such a tragic manner. This whole situation seems to have layers, especially given the claims from the family fundraiser alleging a familial link between the suspect and Corleone. While these claims haven't been confirmed officially, it's hard not to feel the weight of the situation as it stands. If anyone here is local to St. Louis or knows more, how common is it for the Circuit Attorney's Office to refuse charges like this? Do they often revisit such cases? My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I hope the authorities can bring some resolution soon.
