Has anyone ever looked into Scott Gilchrist’s abandoned vehicle more thoroughly? I find it odd that his car was left at such a random location in Missoula without any signs of struggle or personal belongings left behind. Was it found locked or was it just left open? The area around Blaine and Tremont isn’t typically known for anything suspicious, but I wonder if any security cameras were around back in 1999 that might give clues. Also, was there any evidence of mechanical issues that might have forced him to stop there? Sometimes, it's the small, overlooked details that can shed light on what actually happened. Anyone have thoughts or insights on this angle?

Hey everyone, I was looking into the case of Scott Anthony Gilchrist and something struck me as odd. His last known contact was that postcard from Missoula—why a postcard? It's almost like he was intentionally leaving a breadcrumb, but why not something more direct like a phone call if he was in trouble? I know we don't have all the details, but it makes me wonder if Scott was trying to signal something specific with that choice. And why Missoula of all places? Was he meeting someone, or was it just a stop on his journey? It's eerie how his car ended up abandoned after that. Does anyone from the area remember any unusual incidents or have any insight into what Missoula was like back then? Would love to hear your thoughts or theories.

Has anyone looked into the possibility of Scott's case being connected to any local events or suspicious activity in Missoula around the time he went missing? Considering the postcard was the last communication, it's curious that he ended up in Missoula specifically. I've been following some cases from that area during the late '90s, and there seemed to be a few reports of unexplained disappearances or transient individuals going missing. It could be worth looking into any unsolved cases from that time to see if there are any similarities or if any local witnesses remember seeing him. Thoughts?
