Hey all, I’ve been following the recent case in Whitakers and found myself thinking a lot about the bystanders who might have witnessed the incident, particularly the Dollar General employee. It must have been incredibly terrifying to be caught in such a situation, especially in a small town where everyone knows each other. I've worked retail myself and the thought of something so violent happening out of the blue is just unimaginable. I'm hoping the community is rallying around anyone affected by this. These situations can leave emotional scars that people might not recognize immediately. I wonder if there's any support or counseling being offered to help folks process what they've been through. Thinking of everyone involved, especially those who had to witness such a shocking event. It’s a tough reminder of how quickly things can escalate and how important community support is in the aftermath of such tragedies.
