I've been thinking a lot about the weapon used in this tragic case, especially since it involved both a firearm and a knife. It seems so calculated and brutal to have used two different types of weapons. I just can't wrap my mind around how someone could commit such an act against children, and also against the mother. Was it a premeditated attack or a spur-of-the-moment decision? This dual weapon choice might suggest the perpetrator had an intense level of rage. It's terrifying to think someone in our own community could do something like this. I hope those investigating can piece together this puzzle soon. My heart goes out to the family and everyone affected.
