Hi everyone,
As we've been following the tragic case of Avante Copeland, I've been thinking a lot about the role of community surveillance in this investigation. It seems that the initial breakthrough came from analyzing the surveillance footage from nearby businesses. In cases like this, having cameras in public spaces can really make a difference by providing crucial evidence to quickly identify suspects. It's tragic that we have to rely on these measures, but it does highlight how valuable they can be in bringing justice and providing closure to the victim's family.
Does anyone else have thoughts on how surveillance impacted this case or other cases you've followed? Had it not been for the cameras, how different do you think the investigation might have been? My heart goes out to Avante's family, and I hope this brings them one step closer to finding peace.
Stay safe, everyone!
