Does anyone else find it strange how quickly things can change from joy to tragedy? It seems like the night was supposed to be one of those memorable moments for everyone in Prospect Lefferts Gardens—families, friends, and neighbors coming together to celebrate the Knicks' win. Yet amidst the cooking and cheering, everything turned so dark. I keep thinking about the kids who were out there. What was supposed to be a night of excitement has surely left them with fear and confusion. And Manny...he seemed like such a solid figure in the neighborhood from what I've read. It's just so sad to know he was caught in this chaos while simply trying to head back home to see his daughter. It makes me wonder about the impact this will have on his family and the community. Having such a well-respected, calm presence suddenly ripped away must be incredibly tough on everyone who knew him. Every party and every celebration might feel a bit different now. Hoping they find whoever is responsible soon, not that it will undo the pain, but maybe it will give some answers or steps toward justice.
