It’s truly devastating for the Portsmouth community to lose another life to gun violence. Bernard “Ryda” Parks' tragic death raises so many questions, and with so little information being released, it's frustrating not knowing what really happened that night. My heart goes out to his family, especially his daughter who now has to grow up without her father. It's hard to understand why some cases go cold or seem to lack progress, but I really hope that some leads come through soon. If anyone in the area has any information or saw something unusual on Virginia Avenue that night, please come forward. We owe it to Bernard, his family, and his community to find out what happened and seek justice for his loss.
