It's been over two decades since Edelmirio Becerra was last seen, and I'm curious if anyone knows more about the original investigation techniques used back then. It's so important that we discuss whether advanced surveillance technology that exists today was even considered or available in 2000. Back then, digital footprints weren't as thoroughly examined as they are now. Are there any fellow sleuths here who can shed light on whether any tech or forensic advancements could be applied retroactively in similar cold cases? It could make a huge difference if we could re-analyze old evidence with new methods. I wonder if this has been considered or pursued at all in Edelmirio's case.

Has anyone else noticed how little media coverage Edelmirio Becerra's case has received over the years? It’s been over two decades now, and it feels like his story has just faded from public memory. We often see cases get renewed attention through documentaries or podcasts, which can sometimes bring forward new information or witnesses. I wonder if there’s any potential for a media outlet to spotlight Edelmirio’s disappearance, perhaps as part of a series on cold cases in New Jersey. Maybe that could generate leads or encourage someone with information to finally come forward. It’s frustrating to think his family has been in limbo all these years without answers. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the role media plays in cold cases and if they have any ideas on how we can give Edelmirio’s case more visibility.
