The rapid use of technology in solving crimes is something that’s been on my mind lately. In the case of Davion Cooke, it’s incredible to see how quickly the Norfolk Police Department was able to identify and arrest a suspect using their Real-Time Crime Center. I can't help but wonder how different cases would have been managed in the past without such tools at law enforcement's disposal. While it's reassuring that justice is being pursued swiftly, it doesn't bring Davion back or ease the pain for his family and friends. It’s a reminder of the role technology plays in modern policing and hopefully a step forward in preventing further tragedies. My heart goes out to all those who are mourning his loss.
