I've been thinking a lot about the incredibly tragic loss of Thy Mitchell and her children, especially after reading more about their contributions to Houston's culinary scene. I had the chance to dine at Traveler's Table a few times, and you could always feel the passion and warmth Thy infused into the place. The staff there was always so welcoming, and I believe that's a testament to her leadership and spirit. I can't imagine the pain her family and close friends must be feeling right now. It's just so hard to wrap your head around something like this happening to such a vibrant, talented person and her innocent kids. My heart goes out to them all. For anyone who's been to her restaurants or knew Thy personally, how are you planning to remember and honor her legacy? I hope the community continues to come together and support each other through this devastating time.
