It's incredibly difficult to wrap my head around the tragic loss of Ashley Stenson. Reading about how dedicated she was to her family and the joy she spread to others is truly moving. It's heartbreaking to know that someone with such a vibrant spirit was taken away under such violent circumstances. I can't even begin to fathom the pain her loved ones must be feeling. I’ve been thinking about the location of the incident, near the Four Points by Sheraton. For those familiar with downtown Peoria, it's usually a busy area, right? It makes me wonder about the impact this has had on the community and those who witnessed the event. The officers involved must also be carrying a heavy burden, knowing the outcome. Domestic violence can touch so many lives, and this case is a stark reminder of how it can spiral into unimaginable tragedy so quickly. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I hope they can find some peace and healing in the midst of this nightmare. And for all of us watching from afar, let’s remember to keep pushing for better support and prevention measures for domestic violence victims. It's a devastating reality that can't be ignored.
