I've been following the tragic case of Dwight Young, and my heart goes out to his family and that sweet little daughter of his. I can't even imagine the pain they're going through right now. What strikes me as particularly troubling is why the girlfriend's father was released without charges despite allegedly being the one who pulled the trigger. Is there more to this story that isn't being released to the public? I'm trying to wrap my head around the decision-making process here, especially when the victim was about to start working in law enforcement himself. Seems like there'd be a heightened need for transparency. Obviously, the police must have their reasons, but I hope we get some clarity soon. Does anyone else have thoughts on how these investigations generally work when everyone involved knows each other?
