Has anyone else been following the updates on the Montbello Recreation Center incident? I've been thinking a lot about the role community centers play in providing a safe space for our youth. It's truly unnerving to think that a place meant to be a refuge can become the scene of such a tragedy. I can't help but wonder what security measures were in place at the recreation center and if there are plans to enhance safety going forward. Ensuring a safe environment is crucial for the well-being and trust of the community. My heart goes out to Nasir's family. I hope the community can come together to support them and prevent such incidents in the future. What do you all think should be done to ensure our local community centers remain places of safety and security for our kids?
