Roman's tragic passing has been weighing heavily on my mind, especially considering the circumstances that led to this devastating loss. I can't stop thinking about how senseless and preventable it all was. The fact that Cecilio Lopez, with his prior criminal history, was free and in possession of a firearm is deeply concerning. It raises so many questions about how the justice system is handling individuals with such backgrounds. What truly stands out in this case is Roman’s apparent desire to de-escalate the situation. According to reports, he attempted to remove himself from the aggressive driving encounter, yet he was mercilessly gunned down. It's haunting to think that a young life could be snuffed out in the blink of an eye, all due to what seems like a brief, avoidable act of road rage. My heart goes out to Roman's family. His mother’s words resonate so deeply — no parent should have to endure such a loss. It’s my hope that justice is served and that Roman’s family finds the strength to navigate through this immensely difficult time. Let’s all remember Roman and keep a dialogue going about how we can prevent such tragedies in the future.
