The news about Malachi Hayes is truly getting to me, especially hearing more about his background as a talented basketball player at Sam Houston High School. It's such a reminder of how fragile life is, especially for young people with so much potential ahead of them. Basketball communities often become a second family, and I can only imagine how his teammates and coaches must be feeling right now, losing someone they worked so closely with and likely looked up to. It's tough, too, knowing that as of now, there's still no solid information on suspects or arrests. I hope the investigation makes swift progress and provides some answers—not just for Malachi’s family, who deserve to know what happened to their son, but for everyone in Arlington who’s feeling this loss. Sending love and strength to all who knew him. Let's hope for developments soon.
