I’ve been following the tragic case of Ava, Felisha, and Mileena, and it’s just so unbelievably sad. I wanted to talk a bit about Ava's love for make-believe and how it really struck a chord with me. It’s hard to comprehend how someone so young, with such a bright spirit, could be part of something so devastating. The details of her playful nature and how she loved dolls and make-believe remind us of her innocence amidst this tragedy. Imagining how Ava used her imagination to create joyful worlds with her toys, even for a moment, amidst a real world that turned out to be so cruel, is utterly heartbreaking. It's stories like these that make me wish there was a way to protect all children from such horrors. My heart goes out to the families and everyone who knew them. It sounds like Ava brought so much happiness to those fortunate enough to spend time with her. If only love and make-believe could have been enough to shield her from reality. Sending all my thoughts to the community in Plainville as they remember not just a life lost, but the light Ava and her family clearly brought to others.
