Has anyone here ever been to Zingales Billiards & Sports Bar in Tallahassee? I can’t stop thinking about how this young man, Tevin Gaines, lost his life there. It’s unsettling to imagine a place where people go to unwind and have fun turning deadly. I’ve read that some community members are now advocating for better security at such venues, and I honestly think they have a point. People should feel safe when they’re out with friends. My heart goes out to Tevin’s friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. They deserve answers and justice, and I hope that the increased scrutiny will prevent something like this from happening again. If anyone knows more about how the community or the bar is responding, I’d love to hear. We need to talk more about how to keep public spaces secure, especially when crowds and emotions run high.
