I've been reading about this tragic event in St. Bernard, and I can't help but think about how the surviving family members and the community are coping with such an immense loss. Losing both your mother and grandmother to violence, especially in a close-knit family dynamic, is unimaginable. It's also hard to wrap my head around the fact that Lee Collins III, someone with no criminal history, could reach such a breaking point. I wonder if there were any signs or struggles that might have flown under the radar. Such cases make me wish mental health resources were more accessible, as it could potentially steer individuals away from such devastating paths. My heart goes out to the family and everyone impacted by this senseless tragedy.
