I can't stop thinking about how sudden and tragic this loss is for Mecos Oneal's family and the entire community. As more details emerge, I'm really struck by the impact of losing someone who was such a positive force, especially for those kids he coached. I was wondering, has there been any discussion on the pub's security measures, like cameras or bouncers? Clearly, there were surveillance videos that prosecutors used, but did the pub have any policies in place for handling conflicts before they escalate like this? It makes me wonder if there are ways to prevent tragedies in public spaces by having staff trained better in diffusing heated situations, especially in bars where tensions can run high. Sending all my thoughts to Mecos's family and the kids on his soccer team. What a devastating void they must be feeling right now.
