There's a lot of talk about Cortez's shooting, but one thing I'm really curious about is the location of the crime. The northwest Atlanta apartment complex where it happened—does anyone know if there have been other incidents there before? I've heard of certain areas having higher rates of violence, but I wonder if this place has had a history or if this incident is an outlier. I really feel for Cortez's family having to navigate all of this uncertainty and public interest amidst their grief. If any locals or residents are here, how's the atmosphere in the neighborhood been since this tragedy? Stay safe, everyone.
