I keep thinking about how random and senseless this whole thing seems. Kerry Flanagan was just going about his evening, driving through his neighborhood, and then tragedy struck. My heart goes out to his family who are undoubtedly facing unimaginable grief right now. I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing a loved one in such a sudden and violent way. I've been following the updates closely, but it seems like the detectives are hitting a wall. No suspects, no motives—it’s like Kerry just vanished into thin air, aside from the terrible aftermath. It's incredibly frustrating that someone could do this and still be out there, potentially putting others at risk. If anyone knows that part of Calumet Heights well, is there anything that stands out about that area? Maybe something that seemed off that night, or any local issues that could be relevant? Every little piece of info might help the investigation. Let's hope justice is served soon for Kerry and his family.
