I’ve been following the tragic events of April 19th and I can’t stop thinking about the night that claimed the lives of Demetrius Smith and two others. Something that really struck me was how Demetrius was rushed to the fire station by people who clearly cared about him and wanted to help in the midst of chaos. It’s a testament to the community's desire to protect its young people despite how scary that night must have been. It's infuriating that these senseless acts keep happening, leaving families shattered and questions unanswered. I hope the police can get to the bottom of this and bring some justice and peace to those who knew and loved Demetrius. Can’t imagine the pain his family is going through right now. My heart goes out to them.
