In particular, how did someone with a prior felony firearms conviction manage to get his hands on a gun? This seems to be a glaring issue that needs more attention. I know the emotions are raw and fresh, but ensuring accountability for how the firearm was acquired is crucial. It’s clear there’s a need for stricter enforcement of existing gun laws to prevent something like this from happening again. It doesn't bring back Braylon and the other children, but maybe it could protect others in the future. My heart goes out to Braylon's family, friends, and classmates. It's unimaginable to lose such a sweet soul who was on the brink of celebrating a big milestone like preschool graduation. Every community should be watching and learning from this to take proactive steps against domestic violence and illegal firearm possession.
