It's truly devastating to read about what happened to Gerald Brown and Terrell Boyd in Chicago. Knowing that Brown was a father of six just breaks my heart. Those kids are now left without a father, and it's just unimaginable what their family must be going through right now. I read about the GoFundMe set up for his family, and it at least restores a little faith to see how communities can come together in times of need. It’s crucial that we find ways to support those affected, as this senseless violence leaves so much pain and uncertainty in its wake. One thing that really troubles me is the lack of information made available about the suspects. I understand the need for discretion during an ongoing investigation, but surely someone saw something or knows something that could help bring some sort of closure or justice. It’s scary to think that those responsible are still out there. I live nearby, and this tragedy is a harsh reminder of how quickly life can be turned upside down. Keeping Gerald and Terrell’s families in my thoughts and hoping the police can make progress soon. Stay safe, everyone.
