I can't get over how little attention was paid to the neighbors' reports of hearing a gunshot on New Year's Day. I mean, it seems like such an obvious red flag, right? With all the noise and commotion reported, you'd think there would have been some follow-up that day, especially since it was such an odd time to hear gunfire. It’s chilling to think about the missed opportunities to intervene. How often does stuff like this go unreported, or worse, reported but not acted on? I really hope that bringing awareness to these types of oversights will make a difference in future cases. The ball was definitely dropped here. Thoughts on how this could have been handled differently?

Has anyone else dug into the involvement of child protective services in Kyeimah Spann's case? From what I’ve gathered, there were multiple red flags and complaints about the family across different states. It seems like they just moved around a lot, which allowed them to slip through the cracks. I really wonder if there was a chance to save Kyeimah if the agencies had managed to connect the dots sooner. It’s so frustrating to think that her tragic fate might have been prevented if there were a more cohesive system in place to track at-risk children who move across state lines. Does anyone know if changes have been made to prevent similar situations from happening since?
