I can't stop thinking about the gun safety angle in Anthony's tragic passing. It's devastating to know that such a vibrant young boy is no longer with us because of a situation that might have been preventable. I imagine the pain and sorrow his family is going through is unimaginable. It makes me question why firearms were accessible to him, and whether there were any safety measures, like locks, in place to prevent this from happening. As the investigation continues, I hope that it brings answers not only for his family but also for the community. Understanding how this could have happened might help in preventing future tragedies. My heart goes out to Anthony's friends and classmates at Cedar Grove Elementary who are undoubtedly feeling his absence keenly. Let's hope that this tragedy sparks a conversation about safety and leads to changes that honor Anthony's memory by keeping other kids safe.
