Has anyone else been struck by how quiet this neighborhood seems to be about the night Lane was killed? It's hard to wrap my mind around someone being shot without anyone seeing or hearing anything. If someone only heard one gunshot, it makes me wonder if Lane knew her attacker and didn't have time to cry out or struggle. It's so frustrating that no one has come forward with more information. My heart really goes out to Lane's family and friends— they deserve answers and justice for her. It just feels so eerie that someone out there knows what happened, and yet there's so little to go on. Hopefully, with the passage of time, someone will feel compelled to come forward with useful information. Please, if anyone knows anything at all, please reach out to Crimestoppers or local police. Lane deserves justice, and her family deserves some peace.
I can't stop thinking about the neighborhood where Lane's body was found. It feels so eerie to imagine that someone might have witnessed or heard something but didn't realize the severity of the situation. A single gunshot in the early morning hours might be easily dismissed, especially if you don't expect that it could be tied to a crime as serious as this. I hope that anyone who might have seen something, even if it seems insignificant, will feel compelled to come forward. Lane deserves justice, and her family deserves answers. Keeping them all in my thoughts as the investigation continues.
